FLOW METERS
Water usage needs to be controlled and audited - flow meters fitted upstream and downstream to storage tanks are the most accurate way of achieving this.
External fitting involves taking the tank off-line, digging up the pipe work and building new valve pits. This can be labor intensive, disruptive to the water supply and in some cases impossible to achieve.
It has now proved possible to fit flow meters inside storage tanks, while they remain full of water and only having to be taken off-line for several hours – not days.
